My Review of Hotspex

Hotspex is a fun and easy site to navigate. I love panels like this because the surveys are interesting, short, and sometimes they donate money to charities. That always makes the experience better since there are certainly some people need the money more than I do! Sometimes it takes a while to reach the payout but that's fine as long as you have other survey panels as part of your "survey portfolio".

    Could have been great

This site had potential. The incentives were great -- gift cards and paypal. That's what we all want, right? However, there are pretty much no surveys available for me to do... ever. What is the point I get maybe one or two surveys every month or so, if I am lucky. So while the incentives were great, the opportunity to receive them weren't so I can't really recommend this site.

    I rarely get surveys

Hotspex is a credible company. There is no doubt about that. The support team is great and the pay per survey is really high. But its been more than two months now and I have not received any surveys. It's a little frustrating.

    used to be OK

I used to come to this site on a regular basis and got decent payouts for interesting surveys. Now it seems like the company is in trouble or something since I cannot get anyone to respond back to my inquiries and it also seems like the surveys are less and less - the writing is on the wall that something is wrong.

Fun site but difficult to qualify

It's not easy to qualify for their surveys especially if you live in North America. HotSpex is a very focused survey site and they pay well. The surveys are short, easy, and interesting. I only wish their qualification metrics are lenient.

    Not bad

Hotspex is a fun and interesting survey panel. The surveys are short and the pay is fair. The customer support staffs respond to mails quickly. The only disappointment is the volume of surveys. There seem to be fewer survey opportunities recently.

Not enough work but good otherwise

If this site would let me do more of their surveys the score would be a lot higher. Everything else is pretty good, it's just the amount of work- I barely ever get to do the surveys, so it'll take me forever to cash out at this rate.

    Hotspex survey

Hotspex offers review takers a solid channel to get to a large number of paid surveys. Hotspex offers "BUX" redeemable for gift cards, Paypal installments, charity donations, and more. Money giveaways and prize drawings are also offered.

I have been a member of Hotspex for 8 months, and while it's not the most lucrative company, I do recommend it. The surveys aren't very frequent, but they're a lot of fun, very interactive and they cover very interesting topics. So far I have 1,600 points, which would convert to just over $10 in Amazon credits- so it's not a huge incentive, but just enough to make it worthwhile, and it doesn't take very much of your time. I also give them full marks for their innovation and amount of fun they bring to the survey experience.

I've been a member of hotspex since May 25, 2011. The site is very colourful and easy to navigate. Their surveys are interesting. You can complete what they call fun surveys on site that are short (5 minutes avg) and worth 1 bux (their point system). I have received 7 emailed surveys since joining and they are worth about 50 and 300 bux. They have a prize section listing prizes that you bid on (with your bux). I haven't won any of these and they do take up your accumulated bux so I only bid on what I really want for a minimum amount of bux. After receiving and completing about 5 emailed surveys you become a VIP, which gives you access to cashing out for amazon or paypal. The minimum amount for amazon gift card is 1100 bux for $10 and the minimum for paypal is 2750 bux for $25. When you complete a survey they donate money to the Rainforest Conservation Fund. Overall it may take a while to reach payout amount but I like the way they do their surveys. Kim

I joined a month ago and I haven't even been sent one survey. Who said these people are from the UK, they are from Toronto Canada. I have 50 BUX so far, but am skeptical wasting anymore time doing these cute little surveys. Stoney from the Raisin Capitol of the World.

I am a new member and I am concerned about all the poor reviews of this site!! I have read your reviews and others and I find consumers are not happy . I have only done 6 surveys and they were short, fun and so interesting. The site is so creative and I was wondering if that is to reel us in!!! I will be cashing in for a Amazon card when I can and report if I am successful and how long it takes to get!! Anyone really happy with this site???? I can find any real recent reviews!!

I joined Hotspex a couple months ago. The one plus I will give them are the quick bux for completing mini-surveys. The prizes, though, are non-existent. What prizes they did have are actually prize drawings - so many hotspex bux per entry. Now, even these are gone - the prize exchange is almost a joke. The prize drawings are all closed - except for one, which is a day pass for something in California. Being in Maryland that won't do me much good! You need to be a VIP member to exchange your bux for paypal or amazon gift certificates - and unless I get sent some surveys I'll never achieve vip status. So my bux will slowly accumulate through the mini 1, 2, and 5 bux surveys. I have been sent only one survey since I joined, and I didn't qualify for that one. I don't know if it's because it's based in the U.K. - most of the survey sites I belong to that are U.S. based I have no problem getting and qualifying for surveys. If I happen to achieve VIP status I will update my review. Until then, I think, HotSpex is very very low on my list of recommendations.

Hotspex has been around for a few years, but only added actual paid incentives recently, in the form of Amazon gift cards. This panel gets full points for creativity - the surveys are consistently more interesting than the questionnaires you usually find on other sites, and have a more media-interactive feel to them. Surveys offer anywhere between 5 to a few hundred 'bux'; 1100 'bux' equal a $10 Amazon gift card - incentives are comparable to the time spent per survey. While this site is a lot of fun, reward fulfillment is SLOW! The panel did advise its members that with the introduction of the Amazon gift cards that it would be up to a few weeks or a month before the gift certificates would be mailed (because, for some reason, instead of emailing claim codes like other panels, they decided to physically mail the codes to members instead.) However, I found that it took 3 months to the day for me to receive my Amazon code. I'm about ready to 'cash out' again, so I hope now that the Amazon gift cards have been implemented for awhile, that fulfillment will be a bit faster this time around.

Hotspex is a survey site that is based in Great Britain. I have been a member of this panel for about a year. Hotspex sends frequent surveys, They are fun surveys to take, and allow you breaks in between the survey questions that allow you to see how much longer you have in the survey process. This is refreshing because some surveys on other sites seem endless. They have a little treasure maps to let you know how soon you will be finished with the surveys. They offer many rewards and incentives, in terms of bux. as well as a hot pot where you can add your bux and get chances to win a jackpot. You can also bid on prizes with your bux. The main reason I don't like this site that much ,is that I have never gotten any tangible rewards. This site gets high marks for creativity, but they need to work on improving their award system.
