I constantly get errors when completing surveys, either credited the wrong amount, but more often not credited anything at all, and literally never get a response from their customer service. The rewards for surveys have gone way down and just aren’t worth the time. It didn’t use to be this bad.

I been using Light Speed for a year and everything was fine. In the past month I haven’t received any surveys and I have a pending balance for cash out. I will hate to lose those points I earned for doing these surveys. As we all know sometimes they are time consuming for 75-150 points. Are they still in business or just on a long extended vacation?

I’ve been completing surveys with Lightspeed for about two years. About three months ago I noticed that invitations had dried up and, when I tried to log onto the site, I couldn’t anymore. I emailed Lauren and, after several days delay, received a reply that apologised for some kind of admin error and all was well again – until the last week, when invitiations ceased once again. I’m about to attempt to get back in the loop as I’ve accumulated rewards of around £30, which would be a shame to lose after those hours of loyally, digilently completing those surveys! I’ll post back here if there are further problems . . .

Some have it and some don’t, but this is one of those rare ones that have it all. LightSpeed consistently offers its members much more than the customary routine online survey. If you want surveys just about every day, they got ‘em. If you want to receive free cutting edge products to test at home – and get paid for doing so– they send ‘em. And if you like those high paying studies – where you send them simple information or keep track of certain habits – they offer these as well. All of this is based on my personal experience as a panel member and here are just a few examples of what you can expect should you join:
I receive at least 20 invitations each month and qualify for about 65%. Most pay 75 points – you need a minimum of 575 points to cash out for $5.00 – and there are a few for 50 points and some for 150 points. I have also taken surveys paying 300, 500, 1000 points and more. Cash out is via PayPal and only takes about 12 days to receive in your account. NOTE: Should you join this panel make certain to visit the site several times daily to see if there is a survey available as I’ve found they don’t always send out email invitations.
I have received – absolutely free of charge – and tested all types of high quality new products. The best part of this is getting paid for the initial survey and then using the product and saving money on my shopping bill (as most of these products replace similar ones I would have purchased anyway). Every product I have tested has been very relevant to me and it’s quite rewarding in itself to know that I am among the very first to try something brand spanking new.
I participated in a study back in June 2010 wherein I was paid 300 points for taking the survey. At the end of the survey I was asked if I would like to participate in a study, which involved my sending LightSpeed panel certain mailings I received pertaining to credit card offerings and other financial offerings such as changes in terms of existing accounts. NOTE: No personal financial information or account numbers were requested or required. I faxed them several and for this I received a number of points equal to $55.00. It was easy and took no time whatsoever. At present I am doing another one of these studies and have so far earned $17.00 for less that 20-minutes work (and that includes the time it took to take the survey). ANOTHER NOTE: Just in case you don’t have access to a fax machine you may send the info my snail mail or scan to email. Either way they provide all the info you’ll need plus a schedule of how much they will pay for each type item.
I’ve done several “special” in home studies with this panel but the one that sticks out most involved them sending me a specially equipped Palm Pilot wherein I kept track of my beverage consumption for a 2-week period. I estimate the total amount of time spent, entering simple data, during that two-weeks was less than 90-minutes for which they paid me $70.00 after returning – in the postage paid box – the Palm Pilot. It was as easy as shooting fish in a barrel!
I would highly recommend that anyone join this panel to validate, first-hand, the accuracy of this review. Thanks, good luck and best wishes.

I have been a member of Lightspeed Panel since 2008. Survey invites were slow at first, which is normal, and then picked up pretty quickly. Rewards were fair, and were credited fairly quickly to my account. This did not last. I took a product testing survey which entailed multiple parts. The first survey I took I was rewarded the initial points, then a second one that was supposed to be 300 points was never credited. I wrote customer service and received no response, but I honestly didn’t care all that much.
Shortly after I ordered a DVD as a reward, which cost quite a bit of points, and I never received it. Again emailed customer service TWICE to no avail. NOW, August 2010, after previously receiving 2 or 3 invites a DAY from Lightspeed, I have noticed that I have not received a single survey invitation in six months. While this is a common occurrence with some panels (Viewpoint Forum, Survey Savvy) these panels do not have expiration dates on their points as Lightspeed does, and their point values are worth much more money than Lightspeed’s.
I have written my final email to customer service. I am not expecting a response, but I will be ending my association with them shortly.

I have been a member of LightSpeed Consumer Panel since late 2008. So far, I have earned about $200 and completed over 100 surveys. I usually cash out at 2,200 points for $20 PayPal. I’ve never had a problem with receiving payment and usually receive it within a week or so. There is a reward catalog on their website to spend your points which includes gift cards and other items such as DVDs, but I usually stick with PayPal because it’s the most useful to me and most of the items do not appeal to me in the catalog.
Points range from 50 points to 300 points (or more) per survey. I am currently doing a 10-day study on medication usage for 150 points each day. I have only done one or two product tests with this company. They don’t seem to offer product tests often, as least not for me. Survey length various from very short (5 minute) to quite long (an hour) depending on points offered and what the topic is. They are usually very easy to complete, though, and well-worded so there is no confusion.
I qualify for most of the studies offered, although if I wait too long to take it, the quota group fills up quickly and I end up not qualifying. All in all, though, I qualify for a very good portion of the studies they send me.
The only problems I’ve had with LightSpeed are their customer service and technical problems. As others have stated, customer service is pretty awful. I’ll ask for help because of a technical issue on a survey or a question regarding points by sending off an email to “Lauren,” but I’ll either get no response or get a response two weeks later that isn’t very helpful or relevant to what I asked. Technical problems can also be an issue, especially if you accidentally click a survey link twice or get booted because of server issues. I’ve also noticed their site can sometimes be incredibly slow when logging in, especially lately.
All in all, though, this is a great survey site and I highly recommend it. It’s definitely in my top 10.

Been a member for a few years and have made some money but the quality of customer service is dreadful. About half the surveys I receive once i got half way through or just at the end, i get the message that I don’t qualify for and that’s after wasting 20 minutes of answering questions. Then there are the “technical errors” just as you reach the end of the survey and you don’t get credit.
Sending a mail to customer service is a total waste of time, they never answer you!
Recently I noticed that in about three months I have not received a single survey. I went to the home page & tried to log in and guess what, I can’t log into my account. They deleted my account and will not respond to my emails and now I am out the $30 balance I was saving up!

This is a decent survey panel but not as good as surveyspot. They do pay but incentives are way to low for a 20-30 minute survey. I did a 25 minute survey yesterday for 75 lighspeed points (75c) They hardly answer your questions when you contact customer support but they have paid me. I will give them credit for that.

I enjoy answering surveys from Lightspeed, their survey questions are well written, easy to understand and very interesting. After completing a survey you get points, which you can convert to either cash or Amazon gift certificates. I have requested both of these payments and haven’t been disappointed. I would recommend Lightspeed to anyone who enjoys answering surveys. Thanks for reading.

I was with Lightspeed for 2 years so I took a survey then when I tried to log in they wouldnt let me, then they tried to make me sign up again as if I was a new member so I emailed them and they told me there was nothing that they could do .I just wanted to cash out for all of the hard work that I had done so they took all of my point which I had about $40.00 for the 2 years I was with them. I cant get my money or sign in with them so I will never join this site again I wonder did they take my money and spend it on themselfs? Dont sign up with this one .I wonder if I took them to court would I get my money ?Probally not they have no way of showing I took all of those surveys.Good Luck every one ,maybe you had good experiences with them . The main problem is that when you complete a lengthy survey (usually for $1 for ~40 minutes work), you’ll often discover that there’s a technical problem and you don’t even get your points, so never get paid. Emailing their “customer services” results in an automated, standard reply, never, ever, ever have i even had a personal reply, even if it’s to say “sorry, nothing we can do”. Recommendation: avoid – there’s others out there.

I was a member of Lightspeed Panel for a couple of years and one day I noticed that I hadn’t received any survey invitations in a while. I proceeded to login to my account and to my surprise I was unable to login. I emailed Lauren to no avail. About a week later I called the service team and was told that my account was deleted because I “failed a quality test”. This is a ridiculous as I had been a member for a long time with no problems. I always answer my surveys honestly. The woman thinks that I may have taken surveys too quickly. So I was basically penalized for being efficient. The worst part is there was no warning nor email letting me know what happened. It was a good site while it lasted but I think they have lousy customer service.

Lightspeed is one of my favorite online survey sites and i have got paid about 200$ since i joined it.I dont like to take any survey reward sweepstakes(i dont believe i can win a big prize and dont want to waste my time).
At the beginning i got about 3-4 surveys a week(ranging from 75-600 points) and failed half of them. Now i only get 1 survey a week but it is easy to complete.Sometimes they send me a couple of interactive surveys which paid 1000 points or more.but those are few and far between and hard to complete them(i only success one).
I choose amazon gc as my first payment method, then the paypal.
If you want to join it,My suggestion:yes and fill up all member profiles you will have more chance to get surveys.

I have just recently joined Lightspeed and I’m already almost to the minimum pay out! After I signed up it took a little bit to start receiving surveys but now I get one about every other day or so and they’re 50-150 points each! When you answer all the screener surveys in the beginning, you are awarded several entries into their $5,000 sweepstakes. You also get entries when you complete a survey as well. The quality of surveys has been good so far. I’ve only had one that I thought would never end. You get to give your opinon on what you thought of the survey at the end which I think is good. Overall, this panel is in my top three and I look forward to continuing with them.

I’ve been a member for over 2 months now and will have cashed out 3 times for an earnings total of $40 so far. I choose to recieve cash via PayPal and its in my account in 7 days. Recently I got to participate in an interactive web-based “chat” style survey where you answer questions and interact with the panel members. It was neat! It lasted 75mins and I recieved the equivalent of over $10 for it which was reflected in my points in 2 days! Reaching the minimum cash out of 575pts ($5) and above is not hard at all with most surveys worth 75,125,150 & 300 points. JOIN THIS PANEL! You won’t be disappointed!

I have been a member of this panel for approximately three years and without question it ranks in my top 3 survey sites. On this site you are given surveys which usually range between 150 and 300 points. A 150 point survey $1.30 and a 300 point survey is equal to $2.60. This may not seem like a lot but I receive many surveys a week and I have made very good money using this site.
POSITIVES: There are many prizes this site offers. This includes payments by pay pal, amazon gift certificates, blu ray dvd’s, regular dvd’s, jewelry and many other items. The only item I have ever redeemed are pay pal payments. I have never had a problem receiving a payment. For paypal the minimum points needed to redeem are 575 points which equal $5.00. When there are new surveys available you will receive email invites at the email you use when you sign up. My completion rate is 60-70% and the sooner you attempt to complete the survey the better the chance you have at completing it.
BONUS: As a bonus this site has also offered credit card studies regarding apr rates which payed 1000 points per credit card apr statement faxed in. This was a great chance to earn good money.
NEGATIVE: The only negative I have is that the customer service is HORRIBLE. A few times I’ve had some technical issues involving surveys and wrote numerous emails to customer service. Out of 15 emails 1 only received 1 response and it didn’t answer the original question I asked.
OVERALL: I think this is a top notch site and if the customer service were a little decent I’d give it 5 stars. The frequency of surveys and the compensation is great and i strongly urge everyone to sign up.
LightSpeed has been better than average for me since I joined nearly two years ago. I receive several weekly surveys. I have qualified for and completed 52 surveys, worth between 50 and 300 points each, since March 2, 2008. I am currently engaged in a nightly Pain Diary that pays 275 points per night for 14 days plus a 75 point bonus for completing all 14 nights.
The $70 I have earned has been redeemed in the form of $20 worth of Amazon gift certificates and $50 in PayPal, but now I always receive PayPal after resolving a problem I had with them last summer. If your PayPal address is different than the address you receive your survey email invitations at, then they will not be able to send you funds via PayPal. I never received replies to my emails sent to Lauren@lightspeedresearch.com, but once I realized that all of their reward incentives are handled by Perks.com the problem was quickly resolved by emailing Lindsey Kight at: lkight@perks.com, who handles customer service for LightSpeed, Elite Opinion (the business arm of LightSpeed) and any other survey site that uses perk.com for their reward incentives.
There is also a $5,000 Lightspeed Sweepstakes, which I fully intend on NOT winning, but someone wins it every three months and their pictures are posted here: http://us.lightspeedpanel.com/US/public/winners.us

I have been a member of lightspeed panel since before 2006. I totally enjoy this survey panel it happens to be my favorite panel ever. I get a handful of survey each and every week and i qualify for almost all of them. If i dont qualify they alway put my name into a sweepstakes drawing. It is very easy to gather up points, and the points add up quicker than any other site ive tried. I have already cashed in my points for $155 worth of amazon e-certificates, and a $5 paypal amount. Some surveys can take you just a few minutes and others up to 30 minutes but the points you receive in return are well worth your time and effort. You can choice what you want to turn your points in for, gift cards, e-cerificates(which when you redeem for these you almost immediately receive your code to plug into the site and you can add your amount to that site right away), merchandise, and you can even give to charity if youd like. I love this panel it is #1 in my opinion. If a problem ever arises all you have to do is contact the panel with an email and they’ll get back to you in a timely manner as well. What more could one ask for. I love this survey panel and will continue to do surveys for them for as long as i can.

I have been a member of LightSpeed Panel since 2007. I receive a few surveys a week and qualify for most of them. However, there have been times where i spend over 10 minutes on a survey only to find out that i didnt qualify for it, but even though i didnt qualify i still got entered into a sweepstakes. Most surveys i take have been really fun to complete, some are for me and some are for my children to take. I enjoy this survey panel as it is the best ive found yet. It is very easy to rack up points and you can do so fairly quickly. You get to turn in your points for giftcards, paypal cash, merchandise, ect. I have earned $100 in amazon gift cards and $20 in paypal so far. Also this panel has found another way to keep their panel members happy by making the redeem amount lower. You used to have to have at least $5 worth of points to redeem and now i can redeem my points if i have only at least $1 worth of points. I have always received my redeemed items in a timely manner as well. This survey panel is a all around great site to be part of. I make sure i complete all my surveys from this panel first before i go onto my others.

The Lightspeed panel is a decent site. I’ve earned 8 rewards, and I’ve only been a member since 8/1/09. I receive surveys for me and my child. They are easy to answer, but a few are too long.
Sometimes, I can spend 10-15 minutes on a survey before finding out I don’t qualify, but that is stated up front. A helpful thing about this site is the time of the survey is also given up front, so you can skip them if they are too long.
In my experience, I’ve earned points and rewards faster on this site than any other. They don’t waste your time like other survey sites, and they frequently send surveys. Just be honest about yourself, and you will receive many surveys. The only thing you invest is your time.

I recieve survesy for myself and my children almost daily and often more than once a day. Rewards are paid out on time and quickly. I enjoy the surveys and the length of the surveys are not too long.

I have been with Lightspeed for several years. Most of the time my experience has been good; however, there are times that on a long survey (over 15-30 minutes), you get 10-15 minutes into spending your time on the survey, then you are suddenly told you do not qualify and will be entered into their monthly drawing. You are then dropped out of the survey.
They need to find a better way of screening potential survey takers earlier in the process so they are not dropping people out after spending serious, valuable time on the survey.
That is not only irratating, it wastes the time of the survey taker.

Back in 2007, I joined LightSpeed Consumer Panels. As a Canadian, I got about 6 surveys in total, and I am not amused by the lack of surveys for people who are not American. Though their surveys were very well done, and weren’t too lengthy, the lack of inter-nationality is very upsetting, as I am unable to redeem anything, and I am losing my patience with LightSpeed. They should simply advertise as an American only and be done with it, as a 2-year veteran, I think I should be entitled to far more opportunities, regardless of my country. That’s my experience with LightSpeed Consumer Panel.

I’ve been participating in online surveys for a few months now, and this site currently ranks #1 in my list. I receive a handful of surveys each week, and qualify for most of them. I have already cashed out once in such a short time! I’ve rarely had any technical difficulties with the site, and was paid (by PayPal) in just a few short days of claiming my reward.
I’m a very happy client! Be sure to fill out as many of their screeners on your profile as possible – once I did that I received quite a few more qualifying invitations.

24. LightSpeed $70 (575 = $5 cash out) (PayPal) (product tests) (Joined: 2008-03-02) ($70 rec’d)
