survey panels

August was a little better than July for me for survey-taking, although not by very much. Survey-taking has still been very slow for me as invites aren’t as plentiful and qualifying is more difficult than usual. I’m still in a bit of a survey rut, but I hope that changes in the next couple of months.

Toluna did not do as well for me as last month. There are no Invokes to be found and the one that I managed to find got cancelled at the last minute. It wasn’t a good start to August. Opinion Outpost has gotten a little better and is sending me more surveys. Global Test Market has also gotten better for me, although it will still take a long time for me to cash out again with them unless I receive some very high-paying surveys soon. I’m still trying out SurveyHead and its other websites again, which seems to be going well with the amount of surveys I receive and qualify for. I did not get many product tests at all in August, but some months are like that.

Rankings are based mainly on what I earned for the month from each survey company, as well as the number of survey invites.

Here are my current top earners for August 2011:

  1. Opinion Outpost
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $593.00
    • Total Earned in August: $20.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $83.70 check on June 20, 2011/li>
    • Joined: August 12, 2008
  2. Opinion Outpost has been a little better for me this month. I received more surveys than July that I qualified for, although many only paid from 10-20 points. Things are still on the slow side with them, but they are gradually getting better. I’ve been meaning to cash out with them again, which I will do in September.

  3. SurveyHead
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $663.00
    • Total Earned in August: $20.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 PayPal on August 31, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2008
  4. I’ve still been taking surveys with SurveyHead and its other websites lately. I’ve been qualifying for quite a bit more of them and managed to cash out again recently. I just hope it doesn’t take forever like it has before to receive payment. I’ve been pretty happy with them lately, mainly because I’m qualifying for their surveys again and it seems like they have a lot more available than they used to have. We’ll see how things go with them in the coming months.

  5. Toluna
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $850.00
    • Total Earned in August: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $20.00 check on August 30, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2008
  6. I qualified for an Invoke in August, but unfortunately it was canceled. Invokes are so hard to come across nowadays on Toluna and it getting canceled was very disappointing. Besides trying to find Invokes, I have been taking part in the usual surveys that pay an adequate amount of the time invested. Sadly, I didn’t earn very much this month with them and I still need 20,000 points to cash out again. Toluna definitely isn’t as good as it used to be.

  7. MySurvey (merged with Lightspeed)
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $510.00
    • Total Earned in August: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 Amazon.com gift card on July 22, 2011
    • Joined: October 22, 2008
  8. I’m still doing well with MySurvey and qualify for a lot of their surveys. I get several invites from them a week. I also got a couple product tests from them in August, which I enjoyed. I’m hoping to cash out again with them very soon.

  9. GlobalTestMarket
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $350.00
    • Total Earned in August: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $50.00 check on June 20, 2011
    • Joined: September 21, 2008
  10. Global Test Market is slowly picking up for me. In August, I received a lot more surveys than I did in July and qualified for a pretty good amount of them. Things are slowly getting better with them, although I am a long ways away from cashing out with them again. I really wish you didn’t have to wait until you receive $50 worth in points to cash out. $25 would be great, but that’s just the way things are. It just seems to take forever to reach 1000 points.

  11. E-Rewards
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $155.00
    • Total Earned in August: $10.00
    • Last Payment Requested: Two $25.00 GameStop gift cards on August, 30 2011
    • Joined: September 4, 2010
  12. I took part in a lot of surveys for E-Rewards in August, many high-paying ones. I also cashed out for another GameStop gift card recently. I still really love this survey panel because of the frequency of surveys they send me and the amount I qualify for.

  13. MyView
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $350.00
    • Total Earned in August: $10.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 Amazon.com gift card on July 5, 2011
    • Joined: November 12, 2008
  14. I haven’t been very happy with MyView lately. I’ve noticed their surveys are getting longer and longer for less and less points. It really is frustrating. It’s hard to find a good-paying survey for the time invested. Many times, their surveys are longer than it is stated on the front page. I still enjoy their magazine surveys, though, which I qualify for 95% of the time since I read a lot of woman-oriented magazines.

  15. Synovate (Global Opinion Panel)
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $188.00
    • Total Earned in August: $8.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 e-voucher on July 31, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2009
  16. I hardly received any product tests from Synovate in August compared to previous months. I still got a few surveys from them, but much less than usual and usually not involving product tests. It was a disappointing month for Synovate.

  17. Valued Opinions
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $380.00
    • Total Earned in August: $8.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $20.00 Amazon.com gift card on July 27, 2011
    • Joined: September 5, 2008
  18. I received more surveys from Valued Opinions this month compared to July. They have still been slow for me, but I do get a few invites from them a week. I’m hoping to cash out with them again in September for another Amazon.com gift card.

  19. Ipsos I-Say
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $150.00
    • Total Earned in August: $8.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $15.00 check on August 31, 2011
    • Joined: September 16, 2008
  20. No product tests this month from Ipsos, but I did receive a lot of surveys. I get at least one invite from them each day lately. I qualify for a good amount of them, but they usually don’t pay very much. I still enjoy most of their surveys, though, even if many are routed through OTX (a survey company I’m not very thrilled about).

January was a bit of a slow month for me, survey-wise. December was a very busy month for me and January wasn’t much better, so I didn’t make as much as I had hoped for. Even so, I managed to get several product tests and a few Invokes. While SurveySpot has gone a bit downhill for me and I haven’t been very happy about the Lightspeed/MySurvey merger, I’m beginning to really like Opinion Outpost again and I’m still having good luck with Toluna.

Rankings are based mainly on what I earned for the month from each survey company, as well as the number of survey invites.

Here are my current top earners:

  1. Toluna
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $660.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $50.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $20.00 check on February 16, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2008
  2. February was a little disappointing as far as Invokes go. I only got into one, which paid $25.00 worth in points. Another Invoke was cancelled at the last minute (although thankfully it was rescheduled for March). I’m still doing the short polls and mini-surveys every day, since sometimes those lead to Invokes or higher-paying surveys. Cycling through surveys each day is a bit tedious, but there are some higher-paying surveys in there if you’re patient enough.

  3. Opinion Outpost
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $450.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $35.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $65.00 Amazon.com gift card on January 31,2011
    • Joined: August 12, 2008
  4. As I reported in January, I’ve been having much more success with Opinion Outpost as long as I jump on their survey invites as soon as I receive them in my email. Even still, though, I get the occasional flood of surveys that I do not qualify for, even if I respond right away. Sometimes I disqualify immediately after entering a survey. Still, I’ve been having much more luck with them. I wish I’d win the $50 in the instant win game (like some others have reported) after taking the surveys, but no luck there yet. I’ll keep trying!

  5. GlobalTestMarket
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $225.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $25.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $50.00 check on December 20, 2010
    • Joined: September 21, 2008
  6. I still get a lot of surveys from Global Test Market. I qualify for the vast majority of them, too. I honestly don’t have any issues with them at the moment, except that it takes a long time to get a check mailed. I currently have 710 points in my account (1000 points are needed to cash out for a $50 check).

  7. MyView
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $260.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 Amazon.com gift card on January 5, 2011
    • Joined: November 12, 2008
  8. MyView was rather slow this month, too. There were not many high-paying surveys and, some days, not any surveys at all. It’s a bit disappointing, but sometimes this is the way MyView can be. I’m hoping to cash out again in March.

  9. Valued Opinions
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $315.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $20.00 Amazon.com gift card on February 28, 2011
    • Joined: September 5, 2008
  10. MySurvey (merged with Lightspeed recently)
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $425.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 Amazon.com gift card on February 17,2011
    • Joined: October 22, 2008
  11. I wasn’t thrilled with the MySurvey x Lightspeed merger at first, but things have gradually improved over the past month or so for me with them. I am getting more surveys, which is good. However, there are still some annoying technical problems that I run into occasionally with their surveys. Also, I don’t like that sometimes the surveys you don’t qualify for or that have full quotas stay on your list of surveys to take and take a long time to disappear. It can get a bit confusing. Otherwise, they are getting better and I was able to cash out for an Amazon.com gift card recently.

  12. Synovate (Global Opinion Panel)
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $90.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 check on November 15, 2010
    • Joined: August 15, 2009
  13. I didn’t get as many surveys from Synovate this month and product tests have been few and far between lately. Some months are just better than others. I’m hoping to cash out again with them soon, though. I do miss their frequent product tests, although, I admit, I don’t really need any more body wash or shampoo/conditioner, which is what they tend to send me a lot of. Still, getting products to test is always fun.

  14. E-Rewards
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $75.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 GameStop gift card on January, 27 2011
    • Joined: September 4, 2010
  15. I joined E-Rewards last year and have been doing pretty well with them. You need an invite to join them (I was invited by signing up with GameStop’s email newsletter, but I believe there are other ways to get invites). Although they do not offer PayPal or Amazon gift cards, and many of their rewards are not spectacular, I do enjoy getting GameStop gift cards through them since I play a lot of video games. I always get several surveys from them each week and manage to qualify for a lot of them. I recently cashed out for another $25 GameStop gift card. I do really like that it only takes a couple weeks or less to get a gift card mailed. So far, I’m very pleased with them.

  16. SurveySpot
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $600.50
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $48.80 PayPal on December 31, 2010
    • Joined: August 20, 2008
  17. I’m still not having very good luck with SurveySpot lately and I know some others have experienced the same thing. I just don’t get many invites from them anymore, and I just can’t seem to qualify for the good-paying surveys (of which there are few). I still do a few 50 point ones here and there if they’re short enough and I have time, but I haven’t really been bothering with them much lately because I’ve been so frustrated with their surveys (and the annoying technical problems that plague a lot of them). I haven’t run across any Invokes lately, either. I really hope things improve with them, but I won’t hold out much hope.

  18. SurveyHead
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $553.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $8.50
    • Last Payment Requested: $25 Amazon.com gift card on January 14, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2008
  19. SurveyHead has been an even bigger disappointment for me this month. I’m not sure what is going on, but I hardly ever get invites anymore from them and there’s rarely a survey on my dashboard as of late (not counting the iPad sweepstakes surveys). I seem to be getting more surveys on the SurveyHead-clone websites (like ERG Surveys and Focusline), so I’ve been sticking to those and not going on SurveyHead as much anymore. Qualifying for surveys has been quite difficult, too. I did cash out for a $50 Amazon.com gift card at the beginning of November, but have yet to see it (it takes 4-6 weeks or even longer… I was hoping to get it by Christmas, but knowing SurveyHead and their VERY slow payouts, I’m unsure at this rate).

Rankings are based mainly on what I earned for the month from each survey company, as well as the number of survey invites.

Here are my current top earners:

    • Total Earned Since Joining: $610.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $70.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $40.00 check on January 30, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2008
  2. I know a lot of people don’t care for Toluna much, but I really like them. I got into two Invokes during January (that paid from $25-30 each). I make sure to check their surveys each day to make sure I don’t miss a possible Invoke invite. I still don’t bother much with their regular surveys unless they pay enough points, but I do take their quick polls and quick surveys each day (some quick surveys lead to an Invoke if you’re lucky).

  3. Opinion Outpost
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $415.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $30.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $65.00 Amazon.com gift card on January 31,2011
    • Joined: August 12, 2008
  4. I’ve been having much more luck this year with Opinion Outpost since I’ve been paying more attention to taking the surveys they send me right away. I’ve noticed that their surveys fill up very quickly if you don’t take them right away, so I’ve made it a habit to jump on them immediately when I see an invitation in my inbox. I still have trouble qualifying sometimes, but I’ve noticed it’s improved a bit since the beginning of this year. Here’s hoping I fair better with them this year than last.

  5. MyView
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $250.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $25.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 Amazon.com gift card on January 5, 2011
    • Joined: November 12, 2008
  6. I still like MyView, but I’ve noticed more and more low-paying (500 or less points) surveys this year that take quite a long time to complete. It’s hard to find surveys that pay more than that, which is a bit disappointing. I still enjoy taking their magazine surveys, though, and I always try to cash out for a $25 Amazon.com gift card at the end of each month.

  7. GlobalTestMarket
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $200.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $25.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $50.00 check on December 20, 2010
    • Joined: September 21, 2008
  8. I still get a lot of surveys from Global Test Market. I qualify for the vast majority of them, too. I honestly don’t have any issues with them at the moment, except that it takes a long time to get a check mailed. I currently have 710 points in my account (1000 points are needed to cash out for a $50 check).

  9. SurveySpot
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $585.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $21.50
    • Last Payment Requested: $48.80 PayPal on December 31, 2010
    • Joined: August 20, 2008
  10. I haven’t been having much luck with SurveySpot lately. I’ve noticed quite an increase in the number of long (20+ minute) surveys for only 50 points, which I have decided to avoid recently because they take up so much of my time. I mainly try to stick to surveys that offer a reasonable amount for the time invested, but those seem harder to find lately. I haven’t been getting many product tests at all lately, either, and there has been a major lack of Invokes since December. It may just be my experience. I am hoping they improve in the coming months.

  11. Valued Opinions
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $300.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $20.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $20.00 Amazon.com gift card on January 30, 2011
    • Joined: September 5, 2008
  12. I didn’t get as many surveys from Valued Opinions this month, but still managed to cash out for a gift card at the end of the month.

  13. MySurvey (merged with Lightspeed recently)
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $410.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $40.00 PayPal on December 31, 2010
    • Joined: October 22, 2008
  14. Lightspeed and MySurvey recently merged, and I have to say I’m not thrilled so far about it. I never cared much for MySurvey (I rarely qualified for their surveys and some surveys were a bit vague about the amount of points offered), but I always liked Lightspeed because of the amount of surveys I received and qualified for. So far, I’m not very impressed, but it hasn’t been long since they merged, so I will give them a chance to work the bugs out. I seem to be getting fewer surveys than I did with Lightspeed and not qualifying for as many, which is a bit disappointing.

  15. Synovate (Global Opinion Panel)
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $75.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 check on November 15, 2010
    • Joined: August 15, 2009
  16. I’ve been receiving a lot more surveys from Synovate this year. Many of them have not involved product testing, however, which is a bit unusual. I did get a few product tests this month, though, which include deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and toilet paper.

  17. E-Rewards
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $75.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $15.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25.00 GameStop gift card on January, 27 2011
    • Joined: September 4, 2010

  19. SurveyHead
    • Total Earned Since Joining: $545.00
    • Total Earned This Month: $10.00
    • Last Payment Requested: $25 Amazon.com gift card on January 14, 2011
    • Joined: August 15, 2008
  20. SurveyHead has been an even bigger disappointment for me this month. I’m not sure what is going on, but I hardly ever get invites anymore from them and there’s rarely a survey on my dashboard as of late (not counting the iPad sweepstakes surveys).
